Saturday
Long run day! 8 miles done.
As you can see from these splits, this run was all over the place. The run started out okay, but as it went on I really started to struggle. There were several walk breaks thrown in, especially during the last mile when I developed a stitch in my left side (this on top of my hips feeling tight. Yay fun). Still, 8 miles with most of it a sub-10 minute pace is nothing to sneeze at so I’m not beating myself up (too much).
Also on Saturday – 75 minutes mixed level yoga and a 2:10.9 plank.
Sunday
Rest Day
Plank a day: 2:16.1
The Good: Made all scheduled runs (at the prescribed distance, of course), plank every day. Also took rest/skipped planned workouts when my body was telling me to instead of when the training plan said to.
The Bad Not As Good: Slacked off a bit on the stretching and only made two yoga classes instead of three (too sore Wednesday night, plus the weather was crappy and I didn’t feel like going back out).
What’s Next?: 4 running days (1 speed workout, 1 long run, 2 regular runs), 3 yoga classes (2 Power Sessions, one other class), 1 weights workout and hopefully a spin class. Stretch, foam roll, repeat.
Now it’s your turn! How was your week in workouts? Any big accomplishments or setbacks?
