Bonus Day

Hey, look at that, it’s Tuesday already! Everyone enjoy the weekend? Mine was spent doing a whole lot of nothing, unless you count on catching up on DVRed episodes of Downton Abbey something. I love the bonus day off that comes with a long weekend. Since I was off from work yesterday (yay President’s Day), I was able to take care of a few things, like taking my car in for service – taking care of Monday’s HealthysELF challenge to tackle a nagging task. Of course, I thought it was just going to be routine service, but it never fails that what you think is going to be an oil change turns into an oil change, two new tires, and an alignment. Fun times for sure, but it could certainly be worse.

For my training plan, I had three miles to do yesterday. Since I had the day off, I was able to wait around to warm up and take my run outdoors. Of course, “warm up” is a relative term since it was maybe 26 degrees, but at least it was sunny!

This week is looking to be a bit hectic. My work schedule is changing and it is going to take a week or so to adjust to the new routine. Also, training for Cherry Blossom is kicking into high gear which will only make the work/training/social life balance that much more tricky. Hopefully it will only take a week or so to get settled, but we’ll see how it goes.

Now it’s your turn! How was your weekend? Anything exciting? Tell me about it!
