Light at the End of the Tunnel

It’s Wednesday! Everyone works on Wednesday!

Although February is the shortest month, this past month has felt like an eternity and I am ready for it to end. Between changes at the office, Cherry Blossom training, and friend and family obligations, this month I’ve felt like I was being pulled in a million different directions. After taking a few days over last week and the beginning of the week to try to get my head together, I feel like I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. March is looking to be just as busy with a baby shower, bridal shower, Easter, and a 5K on the horizon, on top of work and the last month (already?) of training for Cherry Blossom, but I feel like I’m ready to face the month head on. Or maybe I’m just ready for February to end.

On the workout front, Monday was an easy run day. I did 20 minutes of hills on the treadmill and then followed up with 15 minutes of weights.

Yesterday, I took advantage of my recent schedule change to sneak in a spin class at Ride Cycling Studio. Other than some yoga classes, schedule-wise I’m not able to make it to group classes during the week usually, so it was a treat to spend an hour spinning away (making lemonade out of lemons I guess).  I always end up a hot sweaty mess after spin class and it was just what I needed to help pull me out of my funk.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far! Half way to the weekend friends!

Now it’s your turn? Ready for February to end? How do you pull yourself out of a funk? Tell me about it!
